Our approach to learning and development is holistic and dynamic, blending formal training with real-world experiences and collaborative learning opportunities. Whether you are just beginning your career or are an experienced professional, we are committed to helping you unlock your full potential.

FORMAL LEARNING
We offer a wide range of structured modules, courses, and programmes tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals. These include specialised training in clinical skills, leadership development programmes, and various other professional development opportunities. Our formal learning initiatives are designed to provide in-depth knowledge and expertise, ensuring our staff stay at the forefront of medical advancements.

SOCIAL LEARNING
Learning from others is a cornerstone of our development strategy. Through coaching and mentoring programmes, our experienced professionals share their insights and expertise with newer staff, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Regular feedback sessions and peer learning groups also play a crucial role in enhancing skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and support.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
We believe that hands-on experience is invaluable in the healthcare field. Our on-the-job training programmes, stretch assignments, and project-based learning opportunities allow our staff to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. These experiences not only enhance practical skills but also encourage innovation and problem solving, preparing our professionals to tackle the complex challenges of modern healthcare.
The National University Health System (NUHS) launched NUHS Academy as a one-stop training hub to provide upskilling and reskilling programmes for healthcare staff across the care continuum. It supports staff development of medical, nursing, allied health, administrative, and ancillary professionals, equipping our staff with skills to meet evolving healthcare needs.
The Academy comprises four Centres of Excellence and works closely with our members institutions within NUHS, as well as academia and industry partners, to curate and delivery structured training programmes. These initiatives aim to future-proof our workforce and build capabilities to care for an aging population, while supporting Singapore’s evolving healthcare landscape.

We are committed to nurturing a future-ready workforce that is equipped to lead, innovate, and delivery care with purpose. Through structured learning, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and meaningful development opportunities, our people are empowered to grow and make a lasting impact.
