1. Is CHAMP a paid service?

CHAMP is completely free-of-charge


2. Why am I receiving monthly questionnaires from CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot?

This is an optional questionnaire that the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot sends to users. This Function allows the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot to personalise the nudges and reminders to your clinical information.


3. Will I be able to send in a photo of my blood pressure monitor to record my blood pressure?

Unfortunately, submitting blood pressure readings through image is not supported at this point of time. Please follow this format: systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80


4. I have recently changed my mobile number; how do I update it?

You can update your new WhatsApp number by filling in this form. By submitting the form again with your new WhatsApp number, we will deactivate your old number and link to the new number.


5. I want to opt out of CHAMP, how can I do so?

To opt out of CHAMP, simply send “opt out” to the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot. Next, select a reason for opting out from the list provided. If you have indicated “Others”, please specify the reason by sending it through the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot. 

Should you want to opt back in to CHAMP in the future, click here and type “champ yes” into the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot.

7. Why am I getting daily reminders?
In order for Champ WhatsApp Chatbot to know your condition better, you will receive weekly reminders for the first 30 days or 30 readings, whichever takes place sooner.

8. I am not sure if I am enrolled to CHAMP, how can I check if I am?
Simply click this link to launch the CHAMP Chatbot and submit a BP reading in the following format systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80. If you are enrolled to champ you will be greeted with a response “Thank you for your input.”

CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot Functions
1. How can I submit my BP readings through the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot?

Please Submit your blood pressure readings in this format: systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure/heart rate e.g. 120/80/70 or systolic blood pressure/diastolic blood pressure e.g. 120/80.


2. How can I retrieve my blood pressure readings?

To access your blood pressure history, send “bp history” to the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot and it will display 10 of your most recently submitted blood pressure readings.


3. Am I able to view and download all by blood pressure readings?

Yes, you may access your full blood pressure records by sending “bp history” to the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot and to download the full records, simply follow-up with “Yes”.


4. I have more questions about how to use CHAMP, is there one place where I can find a complete guide?

CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot Troubleshooting
1. I have enrolled for CHAMP, but I have not received any welcome message from the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot.

Please ensure that your WhatsApp has been updated to the latest version and that you have accepted the latest Terms and Privacy Policy via this link and after that, submit a bp reading to ensure that the chatbot is functioning as intended.


2. Why am I not receiving notifications from the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot?

Ensure that your WhatsApp notifications are enables in your device’s settings. Additionally, ensure that the CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot conversation is not muted. If the issue persists, Kindly reach out to our friendly staff at [email protected] or call us at 6995 3619. Our staff will contact you within 3 to 5 working days.    Operating Hours*  Mondays - Fridays: 8:00am to 5:30pm  *Excluding public holidays

CHAMP WhatsApp Chatbot Unique Cases
1. I am a caregiver looking after someone who does not have a phone, can I use my number to record their BP readings?

Yes, this is possible however you must meet a few requirements:

  1. Your phone number must not be enrolled to CHAMP previously because one phone number can only be tagged to one account in CHAMP
  2. When enrolling to CHAMP you must use the Singpass of the person you are caring for along with your (the caregivers) phone number.

From here, the caregivers phone number will be tagged to the patient's medical records.
